Mr. Arijit Bhattacharyya, Founder & CEO of VIC Computers

Mr. Arijit Bhattacharyya is the Founder & CEO of VIC Computers, Founder of Sportszonein and Founder of Virtual Game Developer. An Entrepreneur from Kolkata, India, his involvement with software engineering began in 1996 when he took up basic programming as a hobby. Throughout the next three years this developed into a fascination with both electronics and software development.

The Inspirational Story

In his early school days, Mr. Bhattacharyya, used to draw comics characters, and wrote his first comic book that included design, writing and dialogs. Although his teacher never encouraged him doing the comics but yet, they were impressed by his drawings. His father and mother used to tell him fictional inspirational stories. At a very early stage during his Grade 7, he decided that he wanted to become an entrepreneur. He dreamt to do something for his country by recruiting people as well as spreading happiness amongst them.

After passing his Intermediate Education (equaling UK High School), Mr. Bhattacharyya expressed his desire to start his own entrepreneurial venture of animation house. As his parents could not afford a computer at that time back in 1998, they took some loan to buy him his first computer. He used to work on the machine and read the books to learn the tricks of game programming. Unfortunately there was no institute at that time for the purpose. With this he also started his college studies with Economics and Statistics major for a better understanding of how entrepreneurship works.

During his graduation in business majors, Mr. Bhattacharyya used to teach programming languages like C++ and Java to students of engineering. To earn for himself and his expenses, he used to assemble and sell computers. He taught engineering major students from 7 AM to 9 AM, from 10AM to 4 PM he studied his own course work at his college and from 4 PM to 11 PM he used to give service to his clients and also hunted for new customers. Over the weekends, he used to go to a long distant village, called Sundarban, where he had opened a training center with one of his friends. All this time had a lot of ups and downs in which Mr. Bhattacharyya made swift moves.

He pursued Master’s in Computer after his graduation, with side by side freelance software development. From the income he managed to rent out his first office. Slowly he came up with a proper Institute concept and took 2 of his students as his employees. His concept was to have an in-house production and training institute to make students part of real projects and create a talent pool. As this was his passion, after 2 long years he managed to get his first animation business deal. After his studies, Mr. Bhattacharyya gave full time to his entrepreneurial venture and after a few years he started another office at Kolkata. Currently he has 5 franchisees (Jaipur, Alahabad, Kolkata, Nigeria and Pune ), 2 Production Units at Kolkata. He is expecting to open another production unit at Jaipur very soon.

RD: Describe the biggest challenges you faced during your entrepreneurial career?
AB: I faced serious issues of lack of fund and lack of educated customers.

RD: Describe the solutions you provided to the challenges?
AB: Time gave me the fund required and I still keep educating my customers.

RD: What where your failures during your inspirational entrepreneurial story?
AB: 3 business man used me to get their job done and I did it for free; 1 for 6 months, one for several years and 1 for 12 days. It was really a great learning experience for me as of then I understood how to get the job done.

RD: What are your suggestions for Young Entrepreneurs?
AB: If you have dream to do something, just do not lose your path, keep going you will find success.

RD: What are your suggestions for Women Entrepreneurs?
AB: In today’s world men and women are same, so the same old rule of hard work applies for them.

What exactly Creativity is?

Creativity is the generation of ideas that helps an entrepreneur in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of a system.

Some quick ways for carrying out this phase are: increase your energy level with proper exercise, test your ideas with other people, listen to your own hunches and feelings, educate yourself in a selling process etc.

Your mind has the power of sending signals to you, following the instruction of your mind you develop an attitude to accept what your mind has told you .In fact it is all what you already have told your mind to do.

So to break the habit of doing all this stuff you must change the context and matter what you use to send to your brain. Start flying in the air with the power of mind. Successful people never doubted about their capabilities. It was the power of their mind which led them towards their goals. One has to accept the reality that the world has a habit of making room for the person who knows what he is doing and where he is going. Know your limits and you will move faster towards your destiny.  These phenomena’s look so awkward for people to accept but they really work .Train your brain to accept the challenges and those challenges will come up with opportunities.
